A fun piece to make. The smallest squares were achieved by soldering on top of foil overlay. Very risky. The 2 views indicate actual color. The many textures of clear glass don't register digitally.

MCKENZIE OSPREY: 3 different lightings of a double-sided interior window.
The window commemorates an experience in the Oregon forest: a mother osprey teaching her baby to fly. All the flowers and trees are indigenous to the area.
Left image: how the glass looks at sunrise. Some details appear only then.
Center image: During the afternoon, the glass lights up uniformly.
Right image: Opalescent glass colors itself quite differently when lamp light bounces off its face. 36" x 36". PARADISE, OR

 

TWO CRANES FLYING: this is actually one long window. 40" x 18". For an interior transom.
The glass lights up without benefit of sunlight. WASHINGTON DC

 

JULIE'S TRIPTYCH: The triptych overlaps so well, it looks like one window. I totals 40" high and 60" wide. Iridized and textured clears softly light a cool dark Southwest interior. The companion widow to the right, carries forward the clear motif.They combine with kilncast glass, and is cast in polymer. Albuquerque, NM

The doors are housed in an elegant cabinet by
Fine Wood Cuts.

The colors and textures of the glass were selected to reflect Colorado...its aspens, skyscrapers, and wood lands.

Tall doors: 40" x 18"

The color in the wings and halo are kilcast glass behind stained glass. Drapery lines in the gown are overlay. Angel holds a faceted crystal. SLC, UT

Tangka images are meant to be visualized as radient innerscapes. Glass accomplished this effect quite nicely. In the back hills of Virginia.
